My apartment is brand new, and I plan to keep it feeling that way! Less the puppy nail marks on the floor! But, my best gifted me an amazing basket of goodies that I have been using religiously that I must share about!
I have always been a Tide girl, but I am not obsessed with the Method Laundry Detergent. I have the Mango scented, but this detergent has no harsh chemicals and is all natural. “Plant based, biodegradable and hypoallergenic formula fights tough dirt and stains.” And it actually works. I have used with both my barn clothes and Frye’s saddle pads and boots which come out clean, and I don’t have to worry about rough detergents that break out her, or my, skin.
**Horse-Girl Must-Have** Febreze Fabric Odor Eliminator Musty helmet? musty tack trunk? You let your barn pup snuggle on the couch? This is just the best. I just spritz on my sofa and rug before I vacuum. Odors, gone.
So, I am looking for any option to be clean and sustainable. The SeventhGeneration Dish Detergentis safe for dishes, uses no fragrances, and is price conscious!
Shark Rotator Freestyle Pro Cordless Vacuum// I adore this vacuum, which is bizarre because I hated this chore when I was younger. But it’s cordless and charges on it’s stand. It is so easy to use and does an excellent job in my apartment. Perfect heavy-duty vacuum for a small space!

If there is one brand of breeches that I own more than any other it is Equine Couture, for a few reasons. First, the first time I saw a rider wear them, I thought they were super-expensive with the intricate detail, a European-style fit, and the big belt loops. I just thought they were a trendy pair of breeches I couldn’t afford. So, to my surprise most fits of these breeches are actually under $100! They come in great colors, have a conservative detail and piping, and also come in a great fit.
Did I also mention they are super easy to clean? These are one of my few white breeches that will come clean in the wash. The blend detracts dirt!
BLAKELY BREECHES // Sale Price $89.95// Original Price $99.95// I own the Blakely breech in Charcoal as show. The color is perfect to hide some horse nuzzles and dirt!
NATASHA KNEE PATCH BREECHES// Sale Price $89.95// Original Price $99.95// I also own the color pictured left. At one point I think I owned exclusively grey breeches! The pocket is actually a subtle velveteen . Again, the piping is so subtle.
LILLIE BREECHES // Sale Price $80.95 // Original Price $89.95 // So, I thought I would list a pair that weren’t grey! I actually do not own any of the silicone knee patch breeches, but if you are into this trend this is the best pick! (Last I checked, all sizes were available!)
I have been a long-time Ariat shopper. Their boots are functional and a nice price if you are on a budget. Compared to other boots and apparel brands at this price point, I think Ariat is a step above in fit and style. Enjoy my Sale finds and a little splurge at the end!
Sale $47.47// Originally $94.95, run one size small. I actually own these exact breeches in the same Flint color. I loved the material, it wasn’t too hot. I would say they run a touch small. I’m a 26 and they were a touch snug. But nice cut at hip and leg length!
There is something about the adrenaline of shopping and finding a good deal. As an affiliate with Nordstrom, I thought I would put this shopping habit to good use and share my favorite finds! I have been eagerly awaiting the Nordstrom Anniversary sale which is a Pre-Fall sale where Nordstrom offers its new Fall line at a deep discount! These prices go back up August 1! ( I have listed this bag below first, because I believe it’s the best bang for your buck under $50.) Swipe and select the photos below for my favorite finds. I will be sharing my other Nordstrom favorites throughout the sale, but I thought I would share my favorite under $50 deals first!
I made the big move from the city to the ‘burbs a month ago to be closer to my horses and (supposedly) save money! I have not done much saving because I made it my purpose to design my dream apartment even with a shoe-string budget.
My design inspiration was a bit tough to accomplish and still incomplete. I wanted mid century modern design elements that include some bold pieces and stark color. My apartment has so much natural light, which I adore. However, white walls, white counters, and a beige sofa as my foundation created a very bland foundation. (See my desire for statement color.) I have slowly been adding these elements, but right now I am very happy with the current progress!
I shared in a previous post that I ride in a lot of Equine Couture breeches. They are my go-to. First, they are at a great price point. Second, they fit me. THird, they come in different colors (especially darker tones) that come horse snot and dirt!
I am excited to partner with Breeches.com who offers these great breeches on Sale!!
I also have a special coupon to save 20% off! I’m not dancing. Your are dancing . Just use code EQUINECOUTURE20S for 20% off!
Let me know what you think of these Equine Couture breeches! They were been my favorites for years as a working-student on a budget. They are so flattering.
I have adored James Ascher for so long, so I am super excited to be doing a write-up of my favorite picks! All of their items sell out super fast! So, you may need to check in periodically if your favorite items are sold out! I thought I’d share mine! I started by sharing my favorite summer pieces before I got carried away on styles perfect for fall jogs! So this post includes just ALL of my favorites!
So, I am literally doing an Irish Jig to partner with this luxury designer. The Magee 1866 collection are what my FEI jogs are dreamed of. I want to curl up in their cashmere pashmina in front of a large fire and drink a pint of Guinness. This line is so chic and functional and just the epitome of a luxury designer without an outrageous price tag.
Why Magee 1866? I wanted to partner with a designer that resembled the characteristcs that as a blog and rider I want to embody. The design is sophisticated but warm. (Plus, I want to run down the jogs in style) It felt so fitting to partner with Magee 1866, considering my Irish heritage and knack for riding Irish ponies. This luxury designer, based in Donegal, Ireland was established in 1866, creating handwoven tweeds. The brand is a far-cry from its origins now designing
Magee was established in 1866 by John Magee, as a small drapers shop in Donegal, Ireland, buying and selling handwoven tweeds. Magee are still designing and weaving luxury fabrics in Donegal – the ever-changing land and seascapes surrounding Donegal inspire colours and designs. In 2015 Magee acquired Robert Noble, a Scottish mill established in 1666. We use the finest of yarns – cashmere, lambswool, alpaca, silk and linen. These fabrics are used for men and women’s apparel and home furnishing. We still maintain a small hand-weaving business – fabrics are a far cry from the coarse tweeds of the 1800’s, today they are woven using luxury yarns, resulting in a beautifully soft handle. In 2013 we launched the Magee accessory collection – luxury products designed and made in Ireland and the UK. Home interiors include throws, candles and cushions. Accessories for men and women – pashminas, scarves and bags. These products are available to buy online or in one of our stores. Every Magee1866 collection, whether fabric, garment or accessory is designed to reflect our distinctive heritage with a contemporary twist.
This caramel pashmina.. My heart is melting. Oh dear. I will be coming out with a full post with my favorites, and what I’ll be choosing to jog down the FEI strip with. (If anyone wants to know what I want for Christmas? This.)
I ran a poll from my Instagram recently, and a majority of the responses told me that for every-day schooling breeches the price preferences were under $100. My schooling breeches are prices similarly. I have a few splurges for competition breeches and some for a clinic, but for the every-day I want a comfortable, light fabric pant, that also fits like a $200 pant. Too much to ask?
These are by far my favorite. I have several colors. I do only wear the regular knee patch rather than the silicone knee patch. But I like where these pants fit above my waist and have a wide waistline. The fabric is light and nice for summer.
These are just under $99, and how lovely is this color!? It has pockets and wide belt loops which I love. I have the Kerrits tights as well, but if you want a thicker breech this is an incredible choice.
First, these are the “Claire” breech. So, essentially these were made for me. But, really I had so many requests to do a review on B Vertigo breeches, and I found these for under $100. I love the silver piping.
