Over Christmas, I received two pairs of Samshield Riding Gloves, and after strictly riding in Roeckle almost my entire eventing career, I was really interested to compare the two brands. I’m a Samshield junkie, I just love their apparel. While It’s usually at the peak of my price point, I always find myself in the Samshield section at the tack store flipping through show shirts and breeches. (I finally saved up to buy a Samshield Shadbelly this fall!) However, I’ve worn Roeckl gloves for years for a reason. Both gloves are your superior models on the market, but here are my thoughts on each model.
